The Funk has unusual looks and an unusual design. Here at Needles & Spins we have been very impressed. The plinth is a very eye catching shape and carries an innovative platter made from expanded polyvinyl, a foamed vinyl known as the achroplat. The platter is purposely designed to form a 100% mechanical impedance match with your vinyl records, thus eliminating one of the issues which plagues traditional platters and turntable mats.
The Funk Turntable has switchable speed via a knob on one of the feet of the plinth. The plinth is cut to take any arm with a standard Rega fit and this includes arms from Rega, Origin Live, Hadcock, Roksan and others*. The feet have sorbothane inserts to aid isolation. The bearing is an inverted highly polishedsapphire tipped bearing.
The standard of vinyl replay for the price from this turntable is truly outstanding. Its dynamic, detailed, fast, accurate ... and its very funky.
