The Pro-Ject RPM5 doesn't just look very slick with its dark grey, piano lacquer finished, ultra modern tear shaped plinth and cork topped silver finished platter (a felt mat is also included), It sounds exceptionally good too.
The mass loading of the bearing housing does a superb job of damping any vibrations and the specially designed aluminium spiked feet with sorbothane inserts also make a major contribution to isolation.
This is the first Pro-Ject deck in the range to be fitted with their superb Pro-Ject 9c carbon fibre tonearm - an extremely high quality item and capable of handling top end cartridges, both moving coil and moving magnet.
The Pro-Ject RPM5 turntable comes with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge and can be upgraded by replacing the standard stylus with styli further up the Ortofon 2M range. See below for options and potential savings. Build quality is to the usual very high Pro-Ject standard
