The Pro-Ject Phonobox Mk2 MM/MC Phono Pre-amplifier is Pro-Ject's budget phono preamplifier.
If you need a phono preamplifier (see the Phono Preamp FAQ if you are unsure) and want to do it on a budget, then the Pro-Ject Phonobox Mk2 is the best way to do it. The Pro-Ject Phonobox Mk2 is suitable for use with turntables fitted with either low output Moving Coil cartridges and high output Moving Magnet cartridges. Selection between the two is via a button on the back of the unit. For the price, the sound quality is exceptional.
The Phonobox Mk2 is very well built with a brushed aluminium fascia and compact in size.

Please note: Phono preamps require an interconnect lead to connect the phono preamp to your amplifier or sound system. This model does not come with such a lead as standard. We will provide a FREE basic interconnect in order that this product will work out of the box, however a cheap interconnect like this will compromise sound quality and we recommend that you purchase a good quality interconnect.
