This package includes everything including cables and software that you need to record your vinyl to digital files except a PC. It connects to your PC via the USB port and needs no installation as your PC will automatically detect it and install itself. Similar to our Deluxe Bundle for converting Vinyl to Digital but with a really superior turntable, the Deluxe bundle includes the more advanced Pro-Ject RPM5.1. The Pro-Ject RPM5.1 is a further step up in sound quality and as such will give you even better quality digital transfers. It has an inch thick, cork topped balanced platter, has a top quality carbon fibre tonearm that is fully adjustable, a high quality cartridge and a mass loaded bearing in the stylish plinth. In order to digitise your vinyl for use with iPods and MP3 players, or to burn to CD for use in your car, you need to have the right equipment and software. This bundle includes everything you need to perform vinyl to digital transfers at maximum quality including all cables and software (apart from a computer).

Sound Recording and Editing Software There are several all in one turntables which offer a USB output for direct connection to your PC on the market and they are quite convenient. Unfortunately that is about all they are, as the sound quality is often very disappointing. A Combined Phono Preamplifier and external soundcard with a USB output for direct connection to your PC. In addition it can be connected to your amp or stereo system. It can be used to convert tape or radio to digital as well and has a level control which you will find invaluable for good quality transfers. We think this is a superb piece of kit. If you are unsure about spending that little bit extra on a setup like this to guarantee good quality transfers, remember recording vinyl to digital is a more time consuming activity than burning CDs, because the have to be recorded in real time. If you recorded a large number of albums only to realise that the sound quality you were getting was a disappointment, it would be doubly frustrating to realise how much time may have been wasted doing it. Best to get it right first time.
Upgrades Available
The RPM5.1 is a top quality deck and is quite capable of taking higher quality cartridges. Savings can be made upgrading when you purchase (see below), upgrades include styluses further up the Ortofon 500 range and also the top of the Moving Magnet range Ortofon 2M Bronze and Black. As you go up the range with better styluses you will hear improved detail, cleaner treble, better tracking and experience reduced stylus wear.
