This package includes everything including cables and software that you need to record your vinyl to digital files except a PC. It connects to your PC via the USB port and needs no installation as your PC will automatically detect it and install itself.
Similar to our Basic Bundle for converting Vinyl to Digital but with a better quality turntable, the Deluxe bundle includes the more advanced Pro-Ject 1 Xpression MK3. The Pro-Ject 1 Xpression Mk3 is a significant step up in sound quality from the Debut and as such will give you even better quality digital transfers. It has a precision made acrylic platter, has a better carbon fibre tonearm that is fully adjustable, a higher quality cartridge and a heavier plinth.
In order to digitise your vinyl for use with iPods and MP3 players, or to burn to CD for use in your car, you need to have the right equipment and software. This bundle includes everything you need to perform vinyl to digital transfers at maximum quality including all cables and software (apart from a computer).
To transfer vinyl to digital files on a PC or Mac for use on a portable digital player or to transfer to CD you need:

There are several all in one turntables which offer a USB output for direct connection to your PC on the market and they are quite convenient. Unfortunately that is about all they are, as the sound quality is often very disappointing. We put this bundle together to provide the same sort of convenience but with real HiFi quality into the bargain.
Sound quality from a good quality turntable can be as good or better than from CD - that's why its important to use as good a turntable as possible to do your transfers.

Pro-ject 1 Xpression Mk3 TurntableSuperior quality manual turntable from Pro-Ject Audio. Excellent sound quality and includes an Ortofon OM10 cartridge. For more information about the Pro-Ject 1 Xpression Mk3 go here. The Xpression comes with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge as standard but there is an upgraded stylus option - see below. As you go up the stylus range, tracking improves and you get better bass and high frequency performance.

If you are unsure about spending that little bit extra on a setup like this to guarantee good quality transfers, remember recording vinyl to digital is a more time consuming activity than burning CDs, because the have to be recorded in real time. If you recorded a large number of albums only to realise that the sound quality you were getting was a disappointment, it would be doubly frustrating to realise how much time may have been wasted doing it. Best to get it right first time.
